New View Parsnip seeds

Parsnips have become a new favourite in our garden. They grow so well!

We have found it really easy to grow big roots without much fuss. They don't always look super beautiful, but they are delicious and a welcome root veg in our winter gardens.

And they last in the soil all winter long perfectly fine, without bolting to seed quickly too.

They also grow a lot of leaves, which becomes lots of biomass for giving back to the soil. In our experience, they have been easier and more hardy than carrots.

We don't know how they will go in more subtropical climates, but worth a try in a cooler spot. And they grow fantastically well if you live in the cool temperate regions. Time to plant is now through to Spring, depending on your location.

Each packet of seeds can grow quite a nice little patch of them.
